New Nissan GTR 2017 even more GT-R
Nissan today unveiled at the International New York International Auto Show the new GT-R 2017, which stands out for its fascinating new interior and exterior as major improvements in features and performance. These improvements represent the most significant changes that have received this flagship brand since its world premiere in 2007.
The exterior of the GT-R 2017, which has undergone a complete transformation in the front, incorporates the Nissan badge that characterizes all new brand models: the “V-motion” grille finished in chrome matt. This is larger to increase engine cooling and now has a new design in the pattern of the grid. The redesigned bonnet, flowing seamlessly from the front grille has been strengthened significantly, thus contributing to driving stability at high speeds. The new front bumper and spoiler increase the down force of the front axle, as well as giving the appearance of real racing car purebreds.
Family aerodynamic shape of the GT-R defines its profile, with now more prominent side skirts to improve airflow. The rear has also been extensively modified maintaining the unmistakable and iconic tail lamps. A closer look reveals improvements in the body to promote airflow and tickets side air vents located next to the quadruple exhaust outlet. The waistline separating the bottom panel in black body has risen to provide a wider aspect and aggression from the rear. These exterior modifications not only result in a sportier look, but also make it an aerodynamic model, with less resistance and the same support as the GT-R precedent to ensure stability at high speed.
Entering the cabin, we find an interior befitting a sporty premium high performance of this caliber. The shape of the dashboard adopts a “horizontal flow” generated a sense of stability to the occupants of the front seats, while the line between the instrument panel to the center console offers an entirely driver-oriented environment.
The central dashboard design has also been improved and simplified. Integrated navigation and audio controls have reduced the number of controls which of the 27 of the previous model spend only 11 in the model 2017. The large 8-inch touch screen, as if the screen controls located on the center console carbon fiber include large icons for ease of use.
The gearshifts paddles have been resituated in the new steering wheel allow the driver to shift gears mid-turn without taking your hands off the wheel. These, together with ventilation controls, have improved feel and sound when activated or adjusted. With grilled V-Motion, the GT-R 2017 now shows the latest design language Nissan. Its exceptional aerodynamic performance and its refined interior have contributed to the GT-R a more mature character that will continue to evolve in the future.
